ICRA World Championship

Whistler100 The Gold Rush Relay is an Official North American Qualifier for the ICRA World Championships in Milan Italy, 2005.

The top 10 teams overall will gain a birth in the ICRA World Championship, while the remaining teams will gain points towards gaining a birth in the ICRA World Championships.

Invitiations to the ICRA World Championship will be awarded to the Qualified Teams on August 31, 2005.

100 MILE RELAY RUN

This spectacular event will take athletes on a breathtaking journey through rugged mountain vistas and lush valleys, from the arid climate of Lillooet to the high alpine via Duffy Lake then into the Coastal Mountains around Whistler Resort.

Due to safety reasons, the event is limited to 200 teams and filled on a first come first served basis. Once the race is full, a waiting list will be started and teams will be notified if space becomes available.

WEIGHING-IN AND AWARD CEREMONIES

Black's Restaurant & Pub, Whistler Village. Sounds scary, but we only weigh the gold nuggets that your team collects while running.

12 EVENT STAGES

The event stages range from between 5 miles and 13 miles, with a four difficult stages, great for experienced runners.

FUN RULE

This event is for athletes to have fun and enjoy themselves. Those athletes/teams who are not having fun will be asked to withdraw from the event. The Fun Rule supercedes all other rules.
